Kampot pepper is grown in the Kampot province located in the far south of Southeast Asian Cambodia.

It is a region that, thanks to its coastal climate and geological conditions, allows local farmers to produce pepper of the highest quality in the world. It is no wonder that this pepper has received protected geographical indication, similar to French champagne.
We buy pepper from small family farms under direct trade conditions, which ensure fair compensation for each grower, and we strive to promote this approach among other traders.

Characteristic

It is delicate and fragile, upon biting it unleashes a perfect harmony of exotic flavors in your mouth.

Compared to classic dried pepper, it is significantly different. Green pepper offers An intense peppery taste, which is gradually accompanied by notes of citrus and conifers, interlinked with floral tones.

Processing

We package this delicacy of the highest quality directly in Cambodia.

To the green peppercorns is added a pinch of fleur de sel obtained by evaporating seawater. The salt preserves the fresh pepper and thus ensures its absolute freshness.Thanks to this processing, the grains retain the taste of tender green pepper just picked from the pepper vine.

Due to careful selection meeting the strict quality requirements for pepper exported from Kampot, set by the Kampot Pepper Association, only the best grains are handpicked. These are then vacuum-packed to preserve quality and freshness during the journey to the Czech Republic, where they are further selected, packaged, and delivered to your table.

Usage

Green pepper will be loved for its mildness primarily by fans of vegetarian cuisine.

Try combining its perfect taste with dark meat, sauces, risotto or morning eggs. Soft green grains are also suitable for pasta, baking, and soups. It pairs very well with mild cheeses, giving them a sharper accompaniment.

This pepper is not suitable for grinding in a mill due to clogging of the grinding mechanism. If you still want to break its outer skin, use a mortar.

Package

Pepper is still packed in Cambodia into bags of 40 and 100 grams.

Thanks to these bags, the grains retain the authentic taste and aroma of fresh Kampot pepper. In this edition, it is also stored in a luxurious sealed envelope made from extract paper. Used coffee cups are used for its production.
